If you want to know who you are at a deeper level and connect with your inner-self, then a meditation retreat could well be the right choice.
It is important for you to consider the following factors when choosing a meditation retreat:
- Location
- Personal expectations
- Accommodation
- Food
- Intentions
- Meditation experience level
Take the time to consider the factors above which will help you to determine whether the retreat will be a great experience or not.
To begin with, choose a location that is appealing to you in terms of expense and convenience.
The retreat should meet your personal expectations as well as intentions.
Also, consider the food, accommodation and additional facilities available. Do they offer the real experience you are after?
As for the meditation experience level, this depends on whether you are experienced or a beginner. Some people may struggle with a 10-day silent mediation retreat first up, so perhaps choose something a little shorter in length and less structured first up.
If you are experienced, there are plenty of options to go deep and broad in your meditative practice.
An immersive meditation retreat is one of the best and most efficient ways to improve the quality of your life.

Thanks for your comment Jane! It’s now more than ever that we need to take the time to eat well, rest well, exercise and heal. And when possible venture off to a beautiful retreat. We all need to be kind to ourselves and others.
🙂
I am a mature lady who enjoys keep fit through fitness classes. I enjoy body pump yoga and Pilates reformer. I also enjoy eating a healthy diet. I’ve relocated to Melbourne’s from Perth for 12 months. The past 6 months have been extremely stressful. 2 family deaths within one month. Lockdown is taking it toll on me like anyone else of course. My mental and physical health is suffering. I know a well organised calming peaceful retreat will help my recovery.
